The Three Pillars of Spirituality

The Wisdom Keepers of our Universe , The Shamans, Sages, Mystics and Healers have long agreed that human spirituality is composed of three things;

RELATIONSHIPS, VALUES AND LIFE PURPOSE

Your values nestling comfortably between the two define the kind of person you will become, the relationships you will have and the life you will create for yourself.  In a way, they are the defining ingredients to a successful life and deserve to be looked at more closely.

Revisiting your values is always an illuminating process.  We may often find that we are not living a life aligned to what we hold sacred, but rather compromising and pushing aside the nudges from the universe when we have lost sight of what is truly important and when we find we have been swayed by others.

Values are gifts from the Soul.  They reassure us that we are doing the right thing and living to a code of honour that is in alignment with the Laws of the Universe.  Without them, we are empty and spiritually bankrupt. If your values are ignored or compromised your soul will suffer great pain.  Let's take a look at some true core values and see which ones resonate with you and your life.

HONESTY, COMPASSION, GRATITUDE,  JOY, LOYALTY,  INTEGRITY,  EMPOWERMENT,  GENEROSITY, PATIENCE, FAITH, SERVICE TO OTHERS, PASSION, FAMILY, AND GOOD HUMOUR.

These are just a few of many.  If you are a person who is honest, generous and compassionate and your friends are thoughtless and unkind, then you are not surrounding yourself with people who share your values and are unlikely to be getting anything nourishing from the relationships.

Or If you are working for a company that is all about money and self-interest but your values revolve around service to others and giving back, then eventually your soul will be aching with indifference and a lack of fulfilment.

To live a successful joyful life, living in alignment with your values is to live with the key that opens many doors.  I invite you to spend some time revisiting your own true values.

Are they still yours, or do they belong to someone else?

Have you compromised for too long on what is truly important to you

Are you too busy to remember?

These are some of the whispers that the soul speaks when she wishes to get your attention.  Spending time reaffirming your values and getting to know them again, will bring a sense of clarity and sacredness to your life.  Your relationships and purpose will fall elegantly into place when you truly honour who you are.  The whispers will fall silent, comforted that you have found your way HOME!

✨ Values Reconnection Practice: Coming Home to Your Soul

Set aside some quiet time for yourself, somewhere you won’t be disturbed. Bring a journal, your breath, and your curiosity. Let this be a sacred moment of return.

Soul Check-In

“What do I truly care about?”

Close your eyes and take three deep breaths. Place a hand on your heart. Ask yourself:

“What really matters to me in this life?”

Write down the first words, feelings, or images that arise. Don’t judge or filter—just allow.

 Core Values Discovery

Look at the list below, or create your own. Circle (or highlight) 8–10 values that resonate most deeply with your spirit right now.

Examples:

Honesty – Compassion – Joy – Loyalty – Creativity – Faith – Freedom – Love – Growth – Connection – Balance – Service – Playfulness – Wisdom – Beauty – Courage

Now, narrow this list to your top 5. These are your current Soul Anchors.

“Why are these values important to me?”

For each, write a sentence or two. Let the meaning unfold.

Alignment Reflection

Ask yourself

what encourages me to live my values?

Who or what distracts me from them?

Am I living in alignment with these values?

Where in my life am I honouring them?

Be honest. Be kind. This is sacred truth-telling.

Soulful Adjustments

Choose one value you feel called to embody more fully right now.

Then ask:

“What is one small, courageous action I can take this week to honour this value?”

Write it down. Make it real. Commit to it—just one gentle step.

 Daily Whisper

Each morning (or evening), take a moment to ask:

“What would it look like to live this value today?”

Let your Soul guide the answer.

Closing Thought

Values aren’t rigid rules—they’re living energies, deep truths that help us remember who we are. Reconnecting with them is an act of spiritual homecoming.

You are not lost.

You are returning.

And your Soul is waiting with open arms.

"If you have integrity nothing else matters.

If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters."
